Tesla has become a global leader in electric vehicles thanks to its constant innovation and commitment to sustainability. Since its founding in 2003, Tesla has revolutionized the automotive industry with models that stand out for their advanced technology and exceptional performance.

With production plants in the United States and China, Tesla has successfully expanded its global presence, offering vehicles that are not only efficient but also elegant and high-performing.

What does it mean that Tesla is not official in South America, and when will it be?

Currently, Tesla does not have official operations in South America, meaning there is no company-managed sales and service network in the region. This is an advantage for our customers, as it allows us to offer Tesla vehicles at a lower cost. These vehicles are acquired through importers like Autoimport, who leverage the advantages of the Chinese domestic market. This way, you can access these cars without waiting periods or import procedures, and we provide the opportunity to test them before making a purchase.

Tesla has begun to take steps toward entering the South American market. The company has posted job openings for a Country General Manager in Chile, suggesting they are planning their entry into the region. However, according to projections, it may take Tesla between 3 to 5 years to establish an official network in South America.

Maintenance and parts for your Tesla

Maintaining a Tesla is straightforward and economical compared to internal combustion vehicles. Instead of frequent oil changes and other component replacements, Teslas mainly require inspections and specific component replacements at regular intervals. Parts are sourced from China and imported by Autoimport, ensuring quality and economic benefits.

First Service: At 2.5 years, includes filter replacements and a complete inspection. Approximate cost: USD 300.

Check and Alignment: Recommended every 10,000 km to maintain vehicle stability and optimal performance. Approximate cost: USD 190.

Brake Fluid Inspection: Recommended every 4 years.

At Alta Gama, we have specialized workshops that ensure your Tesla receives the best possible care, using original parts that guarantee the vehicle's durability and optimal performance.

Performance and charging network

Tesla vehicles stand out for their range, which varies depending on the model and driving conditions. The Model 3 and Model Y can travel between 455 and 600 km on a single charge. At home, a wall charger allows for a full charge in 6 to 9 hours. Charging overnight using the triple rate plan can be very cost-effective.

In Uruguay, we have a charging network developed by UTE, with strategically located points at service stations, shopping centers, and other key locations. This ensures you always have access to quick and convenient charging for your Tesla. You can consult the UTE Charging Network map for more details.
